Houston, TX

I finally got into my studio in the afternoon and had previously prepared a screen to start a new print. Most of my prints are done with a reductive screen method using one screen. I start with a rectangle of color then alter the screen and print the next. Today I started with a rich red ink. This print is another in my Obtuse Writing series. These prints originated from a dialogue I have had with myself for the last 12 years. I use a dominate non-dominate handwriting technique to ask myself a question with my right hand and then answer with my left. Then I print the answer backwards.

I am glad to be a part of International Print Day!
